The 200 year history of the Antonine Sisters in Roumieh is presented through a carefully structured book design intended to support long form reading and historical documentation. The publication required a visual system that respected the subject matter while remaining clear, consistent, and durable over time.
Typography was treated as a foundational element of the design. A classic and restrained typeface was selected to convey tradition and continuity while supporting readability across extended passages of text. A consistent InDesign grid system was established to organize content and maintain balance between text, imagery, and archival material throughout the book.
Production decisions were integrated early in the process to support the book’s physical presence. Paper selection emphasized tactile quality and longevity, while colour calibration was managed to ensure accurate and respectful reproduction of historical content.
The resulting publication brings together typography, layout, and material considerations into a cohesive visual system that supports the narrative and reflects the legacy of the Antonine Sisters through considered editorial design.
